zinio on Xoom

UPDATE: There is now a Zinio reader for Android and Honeycomb tablets in the market place, give it a try.

So for the last few weeks I have been bugging everyone under the sun at Zinio to get my hands on an Android build of their magazine reader. I love their application, I can't say the same for their tech support. They haven't bothered answering my request, in any shape or form.

The problem: I love my tablets to read magazines, the XOOM to this day is not supported by Zinio. Go here for my review of the XOOM.

I took it upon myself, trooper that I am, to find a solution to my problem.

The solution: I found this article to be very helpful, and got my going right away. You will need to register yourself to xda-developers to be able to download the three files required. If you don't have a file manager installed, I highly recommend Astro.

I'm now reading my favorite magasines, and I can download new ones. The GUI sometimes is cut off, from the Zinio reader itself, but the content of the magasines is all fine.

Fred's two thumps up and happy!
